The Porsche Taycan is an all-electric sports sedan with a four wheel drive, the very first electric car created by Porsche. The name Taycan, which has Turkish origins, refers to the horse on the Porsche crest and calls as well for an “electrifying driving experience”. This EV model is a 4 door, 4 seater saloon with a pure Porsche DNA. It is characterized by a wide and flat front with contoured wings and a sloping roof line. For added power and performance, the Porsche Taycan is also available in a Turbo and Turbo S versions.

Engine and performance

As Edmunds’s performance tests show, the Taycan screams and stands for performance in every aspect. To be precise, its 2 permanent-magnet synchronous motors (PSMs) produce an impressive 560 kW (761 PS) of overboost. And thanks to this power, it can seamlessly accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

Fast Charging and Higher range

If you will be driving for a long distance, you are well covered by a powerful 800-volt charging system which can produce a maximum charging power of up to 270kW. It fully charges in just 22.5 minutes and this gives you a maximum range of 407km. if you don’t have that much time, a 5-minute charge will give you enough power to drive for 100 km under optimum conditions.

A spectacular interior

Once inside, you will appreciate its partial leather trim, comfy eight-way adjustable seats, keyless entry, and ambient lighting. There are also 5 touch screens on the dashboard designed to make driving easier and fun. These include two 10.9 inch screens at the front and passenger-side for infotainment, two 8.4 and 5.4-inch climate control screens at the front and back. If you are touring, there is also a panoramic fixed glass roof for an open and airy driving experience.

Ample storage space

Traveling with lots of luggage? Well, no problem. The Porsche Taycan 4S is well equipped to handle that. It features a 81-liter luggage compartment at the front where you can store small items while the trunk offers 366 liters of storage space. And if this is not enough, you can expand it by folding the rear seat backrests.

For the sake of your safety, and comfort, the Porsche Taycan is equipped with an adaptive air suspension, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, active lane control, surround-view camera system, and automatic emergency braking.
