Lamborghini’s Urus is an all-new supercharged five-seater SUV with wild styling, dynamic powertrain plus a second row of seating. Just as Porsche did with the Macan and Cayenne, Lamborghini has now moved into the market of building high-performance SUVs that remain true to its original purpose of speed and power.

The Urus, a Super Fast SUV

At first glance, it is easy to see that the Urus is part of the Lamborghini family. With the Italian styling and wedge-like appeal, it’s easy to classify the Urus into their long line of supercars. Adding to the tradition of giving its vehicles names related to bullfighting, the Urus was named after an ancestor to the modern cattle.

The powertrain on the Urus is slightly different than most Lamborghini vehicles with a 4.0-liter V8 engine. This isn’t a compromise for Lamborghini as the twin-turbo yields 641 horsepower plus 627 lb.-ft. or torque. That’s more than the Lamborghini Huracan offers with its V10 engine. In addition, it is outfitted with an eight-speed transmission and all-wheel drive. With the ability to hit 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds and offer a top speed of 305 km/h, the Urus is the fastest SUV in the world.

Capable and Versatile

The Urus also features various settings to handle different terrains. Its terrain management function features five driving modes: Strada (Street), Terra (Dirt), Corsa (Track), Neve (Snow) and Sabbia (Sand). These settings allow the Lamborghini SUV to be as capable on a street as it is on the snow-covered mountain terrain.

A Stylish and Comfortable Interior

Inside the Urus, you’re in for a real treat. There is exotic leather, metal trim as well as stylish wood. Not only is there a large digital cluster but also screens everywhere. The rear seating provides adequate room for passengers or cargo. Eventually, the Urus is going to debut a hybrid drivetrain, but there is no word yet on a date for that electric-gas model.
