One Day-Trip to Vienna
Vienna is filled with musical and artistic attractions that cater to all visitors. When you are visiting for a day or stopping over during a business trip, take your Lamborghini Huracan through the city on this one-day itinerary.
Start your day with a cup of Vienna coffee. It is the only way to experience this beautiful city. Then, begin the sightseeing at Schönbrunn Palace. Visiting here first thing in the morning helps to avoid unnecessary crowds. You’ll get to see the bedchamber of Emperor Franz Josef, as well as the dressing room of Empress Elisabeth. Take your time and walk through the Great Gallery and the Carousel Room.
When you’ve finished there, take B221 to the Rathaus. This is the city hall of Vienna and the seat of the mayor. It was built in 1883 and offers a Gothic architecture style. Be sure to visit the Rathausmann which is the knight sculpture on top of the tower.
Next, you’ll want to travel the short distance via Löwelstraße to The Spanish Riding School. This is the location where all the famous Lipizzaner stallions and their riders receive their training. Enjoy the performance from the elegant horses; just be sure to purchase your tickets in advance.
Take another short ride on Augustinerstraße to visit The Vienna State Opera. Revel in the ornate architecture and take in the stars of composers that fill the ground. If you have extra time, why not take in a show while you are there. There are also plenty of great restaurants in the area if you need to stop for a break and a bite to eat.
After your lunch take the opportunity to see where Mozart lived. It’s about a 10-minute drive via B1. You can walk through the rooms of the house and listen to his marvelous music. Then, head on the 2-kilometer journey on Weihburggasse to Vienna’s Museum Quartier. This is one of the largest culture and art complexes found in the world. Inside the buildings, you’ll find extensive art collections.
To end your day, head back up the B1 to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Construction started in the 12th century and it has been a landmark in the area ever since. When you are ready for dinner, head right across the street to Figlmüller Wollzeile, which is the home of the schnitzel. This establishment is known for its wood paneling, exposed bricks & wrought iron plus they serve classic Viennese cuisine.
Your journey from the Schönbrunn Palace to Vienna’s Museum Quartier is made complete when you enjoy a luxury car rental.
